A strong start of the year for Telescope with five new contracts in the pipe

Not even two weeks into 2012 we are very pleased to conclude that one of our major customers, Sony (Ericsson), are looking stronger than in a very long time. Organizational changes indicate additional focus on strengthening systematization and development in Lund, and Telescope are already negotiating the first five new consultancy agreements for the year. Looking back at 2011, we see a year with quite a few surprises and very good growth in the company. We had a target of 25 consultants in assignment and five in house developers in projects, before 2012. Even with the Android themes creator project in a pending state, we can count five in house developers with Fredrik, Jef, Charles and Eric in Davao, together with Pavel in Riga. The in house goal was moderate, but still it is good to reach target. The growth on the consultancy side was very strong in 2011. Passing into 2012 we had 23 consultants contracted. With the new contracts being negotiated, 25 consultants in assignment is just around the corner.

After many long discussions with colleagues and partners on the somewhat turbulent corporate telecom landscape in this region, Telescope's forecast, as well as hope, is that telecommunication will have a continued and distinct presence in Lund. It is not unlikely that we, in addition to mobile telephones, will see a broader range of display based consumer products, sharing parts of the platform with other mobile or semi mobile devices. Further on we believe there will be an increased lack of specialist developers in the region; hence the demand for recruitment of engineers in for example east Europe will be even greater during 2012.

Together with this strong position within telecommunication here in the south, Ericsson in Stockholm started to show interest in Telescope and hired our first Stockholm based specialist. With new partners in Ukraine and Moldova, and a permit for recruitment in Belarus coming into place, we set our ambitions high for 2012. Telescope's goal is to double the number of in house developer and consultants in assignment, before 2013. In conjunction with this we will add sales power in some form, either by taking in a partner with a solid customer network, or by building this ourselves organically. Time will tell what path we take.

With these ambitions in mind I want to thank customers, employees and partners for a great 2011, and wish us all a happy, energetic and powerful 2012.
